Randlin Homes Recovery and Rehabilitation Services "The RAP Program"
About the "Reintegration Assistance Program"
Randlin Homes offers veterans and offenders HOPE (Help Opportunity Praise Encouragement) to move forward from their present situation to a new life ahead. Many of those who have sought help at Randlin Homes have had a long history of mental illnesses, substance abuse problems, suicide attempts, and criminal involvement.
Some have had as many as 12 drunk driving charges with no long term success in the traditional treatment and correctional systems.
The RAP program offers residents the opportunity to get the help they need to become self sufficient again. Housing, food, clothing, transportation, and support have been the barriers that have pushed many into homelessness and suicide, or other self destructive behaviors.
The RAP program provides housing and support in a family environment where people have a sense of belonging and HOPE. Randlin Homes has provided over 20,000 nights of services with close to a 90% success rate in positive rehabilitation, and movement toward self sufficiency.
The majority of the homeless population and the chronic criminal offenders have a multitude of issues that have contributed to their situations. Mental illnesses, post traumatic stress, chemical dependency, health, learning or cognitive disabilities that have often not been diagnosed or are inadequately treated.
The Randlin Homes RAP Education and Training Enterprise Program will address all of these issues and provide social, educational and vocational skill development that will offer the best chance at recovery, and long term self sufficiency.
The RAP program will utilize professionals as well as mentors, teachers and peers to provide support in their recovery, as well as training in one of the enterprises that will result in the achievement of an Employability Skills training program certificate from the Department of Public Instruction.
The enterprises will generate income to house, clothe, and sustain the student-residents... while they are being rehabilitated and trained in at least 3 marketable skills.
