Build a Flag for Randlin Homes

Dear Randlin Homes Supporters,

We are grateful for your assistance in helping us continue our service to our forgotten veterans and other homeless people in the Marathon County and surrounding areas. We have been helping homeless people who have mental or substance abuse illnesses as well as those who have physical disabilities since 2001.

Our funding comes almost exclusively from our education and training enterprise programs where our student residents learn new skills through working in our HOPE Thrift Store, our Hot Diggity Dog Concessions and our yard care and snow removal enterprises and through soliciting community support.

Your help is greatly needed in purchasing these buildings to continue helping the 40+ people we have in our housing and training programs.

Please consider helping to “BUILD A FLAG FOR THE HOMELESS” by donating poster board and paper and seeking donations to sponsor stars and stripes. Each flag will house one of our student/residents for a month and will then be posted at our HOPE Thrift Store on 6th Street in Wausau or at one of our houses. Please see further explanations below.

HOW TO BUILD A FLAG

You will receive a poster board with a blue rectangle on it along with an envelope of red and white squares and 50 stars. The squares will be sold for $1 and the stars for $2 (you can raise the price if you want) and we encourage people to sign what they sponsor for our student/residents to see and appreciate.. People can sponsor in memory of a veteran or in gratitude for those who served that are among our homeless.

The goal is to fill the flag before Christmas.

The flag will then be transferred to the HOPE Thrift Store walls, one of the houses that the proceeds will be supporting or the sponsoring agency or church can display it there.

Those organizations that fill the flag will be highlighted on our website and in our facilities.

This is a fundraiser that can be ongoing to help our homeless veterans and others with mental illness or a substance abuse problem.
