"Hope Thrift Store" Art Gallery

One of the areas we want to focus on is the value of discovering personal talents through the medium of art, not only for the sheer joy and relaxation of it, but also for the potential of being able to become self-sufficient doing what you love to do…be creative.

On this page of our site we will be presenting more artworks created by our residents and others, many will be available for purchase at our Store.  We found, quite by accident, that one of our former residents was a very talented artist.

Brian Humphrey Art Gallery!! A Talented Vietnam Veteran

We met Brian through the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter. Brian had recently had surgery to replace the veins in his legs, which eliminated the possibility of him going back to his profession in manufacturing. While trying to assist Brian in re-evaluating his career options, Linda discovered his artistic talents, and we helped Brian get started in a new career selling his artwork. Brian has taken his homelessness and physical difficulties, and made the best of a bad situation.

Pictured below are a few examples of his work.

This is Exciting News

We are grateful to have National Artist "David Anthony Hummer" (Visit David's Web Site to view some of his works) leading us in this venture. David has offered a partnership to Randlin Homes and will share 50% of the proceeds of selected works with Randlin Homes to support the many homeless we are seeking to help. All of our artists and craftsman will be able to present their works in our gallery in the same manner David has. Giving our residents and community members a medium to share their talents will help everyone in these hard economic times.
